OHHH! I didn't expect
an album so wounderful! A cd composed from four big
monsters of prog music: it will let you mesmerized ...i'm sure! There
are lots of atmospheres and i think that also prog-metal is taking
inspiration from modern music! Nu-metal influences involve this album
but not only....There are songs that reminds me of Goblin (italian
horror music band) and the vocal parts are entrusted to Kevin Moore
that shows his ability as singer!!!There are no usual songs!! It's no
possible to compare this work to other bands and it's difficult to
describe what these 4 men have created!!!! This is a super album
that may be understood from all those that appreciate different kinds
of music. "Dirt froma holy place" reminds me of
Goblin....a nu-metal riff involves "Horseshoes And B-52's"
an introspective song in which i notice a very fantastic atmosphere!!!!
The cleverness of the musicians is supported by perfect
arrangements as well as the care in the production!IThis is a masterpiece...a
brilliant album which shows the evolution of metal in all meanings!!!The
atmosphere rules the songs....and it's evident how this work is
far from Dream Theater, Fates Warning ecc...Here i notice a very good
search for a particular sound done by synth, i notice darkness.......and
modern guitar riffs.
An
experimental work ..that i think will change many things in the next
years!!This is the prog in 2003!!!!!!
Go and buy this cd... play
it in your hi-fy and you'll enter in the fantastic OSI's world !
