Poltergeist celebrates its reunion after two decades. The
legendary Swiss Thrash Metal band Poltergeist
from Augst, Swiss Canton of Baselland celebrates its reunion after two
decades at metal temple Z7 in Pratteln. To celebrate this reunion, the
legendary Erotic Jesus and the Metal hopefuls Gonoreas and Atlas & Axis
from Swiss Canton of Aargau got hired. Doors Opening was on 6 PM and you
noticed the event will be at Mini Z7 that night. One
hour later the first band Atlas & Axis was on stage. The Aargau newcomer band opened their
set with „My Way“. Guitarist Kevin Schaffer provided guitar duels with
the blonde lead guitarist Romana Kalkul and bassist Nico Ardüser on stage.
That was good, because the band lived the music with such passion and
intensity that no eye remained dry. Singer Jonas Ambühl’s vocal
performance was amazin‘. You heard the NWOBHM influences but also created
excitement. Singer Jonas Ambühl wished good luck to Z7 and thanked for the
chance to perform in Pratteln. The Aargau Metal band left from the
enthusiastic audience after the last song „Winter“. The spectators liked
the performance by Atlas & Axis. Setlist Atlas &

Way A
short break occured and Gonoreas entered the stage. The Aargau Power Metal band has a
symphatic mainman called Leandro Pacheco. This guy also proved that he can
kick ass when the first song „Kiss The Sword“ got played. The
guitar tunes by Damir Eskic drilled into the ears sensuously and Leandro
Pacheco convinced with a great vocal performance. Lead guitarist Damir Eskic
and bassist Pat Rafaniello constantly switched the side of the stage to make
sure that all spectators saw them. They also provided guitar duels with each
other. The flyin’ hair by Damir Eskic and bassist Pat Rafaniello looked
amazin’ because two ventilators were runnin‘ on stage. Singer Leandro
Pacheco was happy that a lot of spectators showed up at Z7. The Power Metal
was well received by the metalheads. The music of Gonoreas reminded me a little bit of their German colleagues Primal
Fear. The Aargau Power Metal band was able to establish itself in the Swiss
Metal Scene and played shows abroad by their albums „Plead Not Guilty“,
„Apocalypse“, „Serpents“ and „Mask Of Shame“. The great
performance by Gonoreas ended
with „Kursk“. Setlist

The Sword Then
it was time for Erotic Jesus. The legendary Crossover band from Swiss Canton of
Baselland was on tour with Body Count in the 90’s. For this night, they
returned on stage to perform one more time in front of the audience. „Put
It Back“ was the first song and the spectators connected with the music.
Guest singer Rafty entered the stage at the third song „Power“ and had
to sing „Power“ and rocked together with the band. The music of Erotic
Jesus seemed funky and reminded of legendary Suicidal Tendencies. Singer
Dave Rubio left the stage while „Anyway“ got played, because he wanted
to sing in the back once. Thomas Baumgarder provided a fabolous guitar solo.
The spectators in the first row danced when „Push“ bumped out the
speakers. The Led Zeppelin classic „Whole Lotta Love“ followed as medley
before „Pity“ got played as next song. The performance was so good that
an encore was needed after the regular setlist. Poltergeist band members
André Grieder and V.O. Pulver entered the stage to perform the KISS cover
version „War Machine“. They kicked ass together and after that Erotic
Jesus left the stage. Unfortunately their show was an unique
opportunity. Although it was great to have experienced this regional cult

Poltergeist entered the stage and
was the most anticipated band of the evening. The legendary Thrash Metal
band with mainman André Grieder, guitarist V.O Pulver, bassist Marek Felis,
guitarist Chasper Wanner and drummer Sven Vormann reunited and this is an
enrichment for the local Metal Scene. Honestly, Poltergeist
was the best band. It’s been awhile since they were active in the Metal
scene but Poltergeist convinced that night. Guitarist V.O Pulver made jokes
about drummer Sven Vormann, because his drumkit seemed breakin‘ apart the
whole time. The audience flipped out during the performance. Heavy moshpits
occured while „We Are The People“ and „You’ve Learned Your Lesson“
got played. The Black Sabbath Cover version „Children Of The Grave“ was
announced with the statement „That’s the last song for tonite.“ They
wanted leave the stage and the Pink Panther outro „Wer hat an der Uhr
gedreht“ bumped out the speakers. However the metal fans weren’t
satisfied and asked for more. This
persistence paid off and Poltergeist returned on stage and performed two encores
„Strutter“ and the Exodus cover „A Lession In Violence“. The
Poltergeist band members was
greeted with frenetic applause. They did a hell of a show and it can’t get

Poltergeist feiert nach zwei Jahrzehnten ihre Wiedervereinigung. Die
legendäre Schweizer Thrash Metal Band Poltergeist
aus Augst, Kanton Baselland feiert nach zwei Jahrzehnten ihre
Wiedervereinigung im Metaltempel Z7 in Pratteln. Um diese Wiedervereinigung
ordentlich zu begehen, wurden mit den legendären Erotic
Jesus und den beiden Aargauer Metal Hoffnungen Gonoreas
und Atlas & Axis hochkarätige
Vorgruppen ins Boot geholt. Um 18 Uhr öffnete das Z7 seine Türen. Beim
Eintritt stellte man umgehend fest, dass der heutige Konzertabend im Mini Z7
stattfinden wird. Eine
Stunde später stand mit Atlas & Axis die erste Band des Abends auf der Bühne. Die
Aargauer Newcomer Metalband eröffnete mit „My Way“ ihr Set. Gitarrist
Kevin Schaffer lieferte sich abwechselnd mit der blonden Lead Gitarristin
Romana Kalkul und Bassist Nico Ardüser Gitarrenduelle auf der Bühne. Das
kam gut an, denn die Band lebte die Musik mit einer derartigen Leidenschaft
und Intensität, dass kein Auge trocken blieb. Sänger Jonas Ambühl zeigte
eine tolle Gesangsleistung. Die Einflüsse aus dem NWOBHM hörte man
jederzeit raus, dennoch gelang es ihnen für Begeisterung zu sorgen. Sänger
Nico Ambühl wünschte dem Z7 viel Glück für die Zukunft und bedankte sich
dafür am heutigen Abend in Pratteln auftreten zu können. Mit dem letzten
Lied „Winter“ verabschiedete sich die Aargauer Metalband vom
begeisterten Publikum. Den Zuschauern hat der Auftritt von Atlas

folgte eine kurze Umbaupause und Gonoreas
betraten die Bühne. Die Aargauer Power Metal Band hat mit Frontmann Leandro
Pacheco einen sympathischen Frontmann am Start. Dass der auch
gesangstechnisch etwas auf dem Kasten hat, beweist er gleich beim ersten
Lied „Kiss The Sword“. Die Gitarrenriffs von Lead Gitarrist Damir Eskic
bohrten sich tief in die Gehörgänge und Frontmann Leandro Pacheco
brillierte mit einer tollen Gesangsvorstellung. Lead Gitarrist Damir Eskic
und Bassist Pat Rafaniello wechselten immer wieder die Bühnenseite, damit
auch alle Zuschauer sie zu Gesicht bekamen. Ausserdem lieferten sie sich
Gitarrenduelle. Was genial aussah waren die fliegenden Haare von Damir Eskic
und Pat Rafaniello, denn auf der Bühne liefen zwei Ventilatoren. Sänger
Leandro Pacheco freute sich, dass viele Zuschauer am heutigen Abend ihren
Weg ins Z7 gefunden hatten. Der Power Metal kam bei den anwesenden Metalfans
sehr gut an. Die Musik von Gonoreas
erinnerte mich ein wenig an ihre deutschen Kollegen von Primal Fear. Dank
ihren bisherigen Alben „Plead Not Guilty“, „Apocalypse“,
„Serpents“ und „Mask Of Shame“ konnten sich die Aargauer Power
Metaller erfolgreich in der Schweizer Metalszene etablieren und spielten
auch Konzerte im Ausland. Mit „Kurks“ endete der hochkarätige Auftritt

The Sword Dann
wurde es Zeit für Erotic Jesus. Die legendäre Crossover Truppe aus dem Baselbiet
konnte in den 90er im Vorprogramm von Body Count auftreten. Für den
heutigen Abend fanden sie sich erneut zusammen um noch einmal dem Publikum
mit fetzigem Sound einzuheizen. „Put it Back“ war das erste Lied des
Abends und die Zuschauer mochten die Musik auf Anhieb. Beim dritten Lied
„Power“ kam mit Rafty ein Gastsänger auf die Bühne um das Wort
„Power“ zu singen und mit der Band abzurocken. Die Musik von Erotic
Jesus kam sehr funky daher und erinnerte an die legendären Suicidal
Tendencies. Bei „Anyway“ ging Frontmann Dave Rubio ins Publikum, weil er
einmal hinten singen wollte. Ein tolles Gitarrensolo legte Thomas
Baumgartner hin. Als „Push“ aus den Boxen dröhnte, tanzten die Leute in
der ersten Reihe. Bevor mit „Pity“ das nächste Lied folgte, spielte die
Band den Led Zeppelin Klassiker „Whole Lotta Love“ als Medley an. Die
Darbietung kam dermassen gut an, dass nach der regulären Setliste eine
Zugabe her musste. Beim KISS Cover „War Machine“ betraten die Poltergeist
Bandmitglieder André Grieder und V.O. Pulver die Bühne. Gemeinsam gaben
sie Vollgas und danach verliessen Erotic
Jesus die Bühne. Leider war ihr Auftritt am heutigen Abend eine
einmalige Gelegenheit. Dennoch war es toll diese regionale Kultcombo einmal
live erlebt zu haben. Setliste Erotic Jesus Put

dem Headliner Poltergeist betrat die am sehnsüchtigste erwartete Band des Abends
die Bühne. Die legendäre Thrash Metal Truppe mit Frontmann André Grieder,
Gitarrist V.O Pulver, Bassist Marek Felis, Gitarrist Chasper Wanner und
Schlagzeuger Sven Vormann sind wieder zusammen und stellen für die lokale
Metalszene eine Bereicherung dar. Ehrlich gesagt, waren Poltergeist mit Abstand die beste Band des Abends. Auch wenn viele
Jahre vergangen sind, seit sie das letzte Mal aktiv in der Metalszene
unterwegs waren, konnten Poltergeist
am heutigen Abend überzeugen. Gitarrist V.O. Pulver machte während dem
Konzert einen Witz über Schlagzeuger Sven, weil sein Schlagzeug immer
auseinander fällt. Das Publikum ging beim Auftritt ab wie Schmidts Katze.
Bei „We Are The People“ und „You‘ve Learned Your Lesson“ gab es
heftige Moshpits. Mit dem Black Sabbath Cover „Children Of The Grave“
wurde schon einmal angekündigt: „Das ist das letzte Lied für heute
Abend“. Danach wollten sie die Bühne verlassen und das Pink Panther Outro
„Wer hat an der Uhr gedreht“ von Udo Jürgens erklang. Jedoch weigerten
sich die Metalfans diese Situation zu akzeptieren und verlangten nach mehr.
Diese Hartnäckigkeit zahlte sich aus. Poltergeist
kehrten auf die Bühne zurück und spielten mit „Strutter“ und dem
Exodus Cover „A Lesson In Violence“ zwei Zugaben. Die
Poltergeist Bandmitglieder wurden
mit frenetischem Applaus verabschiedet. Was sie geboten hatten war
sensationell! Besser geht es gar nicht! Setliste Poltergeist Intro
