One
month later, a Metal event was hosted after the “Surviving
Eastern” Festival in Villa Rosenau again. That was great for me,
because I was born on that day.
I
visited this event in order to celebrate my B-day. When you
arrived at the Villa you could hang up with the bands outside and
talk to them. That’s no matter of course at all.
For
Dawn started
playin’ as first act with “Is Living Worthwhile”.
Singer Daniel Al-Hasani did a great job and was in best condition
that night. Even guitar player Martin Meier had a lot of fun. Two
encores were played after the regular playlist and “Testimony”
meant the end. Despite the good show, the audience behaved
reserved.

Gutrectomy
from Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany were the next. I
couldn’t get along with their Slam Death Metal and got no
connection to the music. But the spectators liked the sound and
the applause was louder.

The
Dead Lay Waiting
was the third act. Two boxing gloves were offered to the
spectators during their show and you could fight against each
other. Some spectators used this chance and had much fun beatin’
each other. And a premiere happened. Singer Luke Lucas asked the
audience for a “Crawl of Death” instead of a “Wall of
Death”. Well, that’s nothing else than kneelin’ down and
rollin’ into another spectator in front of you. But this
amazin’ performance was the reason why the audience went totally
nutz. They danced or moshed to the music.
Scarred
By Beauty was the headliner. I
was excited for their show, because they kick ass yesterday in Münchenstein.
But this show was different. Guitar player Asser Topp-Mortensen
injured his hand and wasn’t able to play. For this reason, only
guitar player Daniel Leszkowicz was on stage.
Despite
this situation, singer Jonathan Albrechtsen, guitar player Daniel
Leszkowicz, bass player Chris Kreutzfeld and drummer Dennis
Leszkowicz did a hell of a show. Fortunately, the audience freaked
out one more time. I wasn’t wonderin’ about it, because Scarred
By Beauty already played one show at Villa Rosenau.
“Ikarus” was introduced to the audience for the first time and
the feedback was overwhelming. “Indika” and “Words” became
the encores after “Egypt”.

These
songs meant the end and you could party with Dubstep music until 6
in the morning or you could leave. Unfortunately, only 20
spectators checked out this show. But they were happy and
satisfied.

Genau
ein Monat nach dem „Surviving Eastern Fest“ fand wieder ein
Metal-Event in der Villa Rosenau statt. Umso erfreulicher für
mich, weil ich an diesem Tag geboren wurde.
Um
meinen Geburtstag gebührlich zu feiern, besuchte ich diese
Veranstaltung. Beim Eintreffen vor der Villa konnte man draussen
verweilen und sich mit den Bands unterhalten. In der heutigen Zeit
keine Selbstverständlichkeit.
For
Dawn eröffneten mit „Is living worthwhile“ den Abend. Sänger Daniel
Al-Hasani zeigte sich stimmlich in bester Form und auch Gitarrist
Martin Meier hatte Freude am abrocken. Nach der regulären
Spielzeit folgten zwei Zugaben wo der Eröffnungssong erneut
gespielt wurde und mit „Testimony“ den Abschluss fand. Trotz
der guten Show, reagierte das Publikum verhalten.

Als
nächstes standen Gutrectomy aus Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland auf dem
Programm. Mit ihrem Slam Death Metal konnte ich ehrlich gesagt
nichts anfangen. Die Zuschauer hingegen waren begeistert und der
Applaus viel daher kräftiger aus.

folgte der dritte Live-Akt. Während ihres Auftritts wurden zwei
paar Boxhandschuhe herumgereicht, mit denen man gegeneinander kämpfen
konnte. Einige Zuschauer nutzten diese Chance und hatten viel
Spass daran. Als exklusive Premiere wurde auf Anweisung von Sänger
Luke Lucas anstatt eine „Wall of Death“ eine „Crawl of
Death“ durchgeführt. Man ging in die Knie und rollte danach
aufeinander los. Ausgelöst durch die phänomenale Performance
tickte das Publikum voll aus. Es wurde zur Musik getanzt oder
gemosht.

By Beauty war als Headliner dran und
markierte den Abschluss. Nach ihrem gestrigen Hammerauftritt in Münchenstein
war ich gespannt, ob sie dieses Niveau halten konnten.
Da
sich Asser Topp-Mortensen die Hand verletzt hatte, spielten sie
den Gig mit Gitarrist Daniel Leszkowicz. Trotz dieser Umstände
lieferten Sänger Jonathan Albrechtsen, Gitarrist Daniel
Leszkowicz, Bassist Chris Kreutzfeld und Schlagzeuger Dennis
Leszkowicz eine tolle Show ab und hatten das Glück, dass die
Zuschauer abgingen wie Schmids Katze. Kein Wunder, denn sie waren
schon einmal zu Gast in der Villa Rosenau. Mit „Ikaros“ wurde
zudem ein neuer Song vorgestellt, der auf positive Resonanz
stiess. Nach „Egypt“ folgten mit „Indika“ und „Words“
die obligaten Zugaben.

Songs bedeuteten den Abschluss und wer noch Lust hatte konnte bei
der Afterparty zu Dubstep verweilen oder nach Hause gehen.
Leider
