Aftershowparty until the next morning.

You know what’s happening when Excentric play a show: Good music and party

You could experience it at the red rocks at the record release party when they transformed the venue to a bedlam. And after that you could see them live at the Youth Culture Festival in the city of Basel.

That’s why I was excited for their concert at the Rockbar in Sissach, Swiss Canton of Basel-Country and Switzerland. FROZENROOM was hired as support act. And this event has to be visited when it is for free! Nowadays, almost nothing is for free anymore!

Nevertheless, FROZENROOM should have opened the concert on 9 PM. A delay had upset their plans and they could just start on 9:50 PM with “Mindless Creation”. The buzz was created, the enthusiastic fans maintained with every track. Singer Alain Schwaller announced that their debut record “Arise” get issued in January 2012. Indeed, most people in the club didn’t pay attention and hanged around at the bar. FROZENROOM did a great show despite the ignorance of “fans”. Such behaviour is a NO GO.

Excentric entered the stage on 10:50 PM as headliner. Their previously issued their second record “White Knuckle Ride”, which received much positive feedback besides the fans. They opened the show with “Hold On” and it was about to party. A short construction break followed by “No Way Out”. After that, the Foo Fighters acoustic track “Wheels” blew out the speakers and the spectators were prepared for a journey to acoustic spheres. The two own acoustic songs “Part of Me” and “So Long!” got played and the gas pedal got pulled down again with Metallica’s “Whiskey in the Jar”.

This time, there were more people in front of the stage than before and two encores had to be played after “And then sun…”.The first encore was the cover version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers hit “Under The Bridge” and the second encore was “4 PM”.

Wenn Excentric ein Konzert spielen, weiss man schon im Voraus was einen erwartet. Das wäre folgendes: Gute Musik und Party

Zuletzt konnte man dies bei ihrer CD-Release Party erleben als sie das Red Rocks in ein Tollhaus verwandelt hatten. Danach konnte man sie beim Jugendkulturfestival in Basel erleben.

Deshalb freute ich mich auf ihr Konzert in der Rockbar in Sissach. Als Support wurde niemand geringeres als FROZENROOM verpflichtet. Und wenn das Ganze dann erst noch gratis ist, muss solch ein Event unbedingt besucht werden! Heutzutage ist fast nichts mehr gratis.

Eigentlich hätten FROZENROOM um 21 Uhr eröffnen sollen. Eine Verzögerung machte ihnen einen Strich durch die Rechnung und sie konnten erst um 21:50 Uhr mit „Mindless Creation“ beginnen. Der Funke sprang innert kurzer Zeit auf einige anwesende und begeisterte Fans über, die bei jedem Song mitgingen. Sänger Alain Schwaller gab noch bekannt, dass im Januar 2012 ihr Debütalbum erscheinen soll. Allerdings schenkten die meisten Leute im Club der Band keine Beachtung und hingen an der Bar herum. FROZENROOM haben eine tolle Show abgeliefert, trotz der Ignoranz der „Fans“, So ein Verhalten ist einfach untragbar!

Als Headliner betraten Excentric gegen 22:50 Uhr die Bühne. Vor kurzem veröffentlichten sie ihr zweites Album „White Knuckle Ride“, welches viel positive Resonanz seitens der Fans erhielt. Mit „Hold On“ eröffneten sie das Konzert und von Beginn weg war Party angesagt. Nach „No Way Out“ folgte eine 10-minütige Umbaupause. Daraufhin erklang mit „Wheels“ ein Foo Fighters Akustiksong mit dem die Zuschauer auf den kurzen Ausflug in akustische Gefilde vorbereitet wurden. Danach folgten mit „Part of Me“ und „So Long!“ zwei eigene Akustiksongs um dann wieder mit Metallicas „Whiskey In The Jar“ Vollgas zu geben.

Diesmal waren mehr Leute zugegen als bei der Supportband und nach dem letzten Song „And then sun…“ folgten zwei Zugaben. Als erste Zugabe wurde das Red Hot Chili Peppers Cover „Under The Bridge“ gespielt und als zweite Zugabe „4 PM“.
