The Murray Hill Theatre is a venue close to my heart. It is a historical landmark in Jacksonville, Florida. I have many fond memories of it as a young adult. The venue while hosting many big names is also known for giving newer bands there start. It is an intimate, laid back environment, and perfect spot to get some one on one time with your favorite bands.
There were people that drove as far as six hours to get that type of experience with My Epic. I got a chance to speak with all the members of both bands and they were truly phenomenal individuals.
In speaking with them I seen a passion and a pure love for music and their fans. They are both doing well. However, I see big things for the both of them. Again lots of love to The Murray Hill Theatre for hosting their shows. I look forward to many more amazing shows there.

more about SEA of SURRENDER
"(From left to right in the photo) Sea of Surrender is Collin Bottomlee, Christopher Maisano & Michael Rosado. The band started performing on FL stages in January of 2012. First as a rock duo, Michael (drums/vocals) and Chris (guitar/vocals) wrote and shared songs LIVE from "Kinsmen EP" (2012) and later met Collin (bass/vocals) and found the perfect fit. The three then wrote and recorded "In Contrast EP" in 2014 and "Here Lies" in 2015. Countless mini-tours and shows have been booked and played since then, in and out of the home state, and there is a full length record being written.
Several friends have been made on the way and family has been recognized and revealed from city to city. The band is stoked to see what these new songs will do and the folks they might have the privilege to share them with.
"The band was started with the heart of knowing and reacquainting ourselves with our scene, our community through art and honesty. The thought and the idea of this statement is what I often recall to memory whenever I get on a stage or floor before people: "true freedom is only found in the place of total surrender."" (Michael)
Just friends, "normal dudes" that want to share hope and transparency.
The themes found in SOS lyrics have direct access to the hearts (poems, journals) and lives of each band member, whether it be of doubt, of faith, of relationships, of grace, of love, of past and present struggles.
"We are a (spoken word) rock band from Central FL that hopes to share an honest experience of hope and love and freedom for whomever will or will not listen." (Michael)"
