A mirror in which  you can reflect your soul

Enchanting…melancholic…elegant…Who’s Barbara Rubin??? She’s an Italian “hidden” artist that in my personal opinion deserves to be known in all the world because of the music she’s able to compose…First of all she attended and completed studies at "Conservatorio" graduating in violin … her personal influences from Rock (but form me from her soul) joined this classic study …She’s able to reach the deepest part of your soul with just a note…the spell of her music is like a mirror in which you can reflect your soul so that you can know it…this album that must still be produced is not for me easy to be compared to the ones of any other artists….

The songs seem to bring us into another dimension and every song is  like a piece of a puzzle that only at the end of the cd finds its final composition.
The production and the arrangements are very good and give value to the essence of music... through the depth of piano and the delicate voice of Barbara…but also to the great classic’s atmosphere created by the orchestral arrangement of some songs that evoke a very amazing sonorous mood. Barbara is able to underline every emotion...just try to listen “A place that nobody knows” in which you can notice the essence of the music in harmony with the concept of “prog”…the dynamic of music is the mean to create atmosphere...and give value to every note…
Each track is pure magic…and every aspect is studied in all details… it’s impossible not to notice the preciseness of Barbara showing abilities over the mid.
The enchanting magic of  “A place that nobody knows” or “Music and Love” that gets a far 70’s atmosphere to a certain depth that could be an hypothetical mix between artist like Ashram and Anya Garbarek  only for that concern the emotive approach to the music….
It’s difficult for me to make valid comparisons…I only say that Barbara is a very Italian artist …and my only hope is that this album will be produced by a valid label that will give the right support to a lovely music jewel like this.
How can I describe this album???...the essence of rock is mixed to deep sensation that gets a strange flavor of 70’s but with the elegance of modern perspective…by the depth of notes I notice the presence of a soul that seems to describe images…
If you listen to these songs at her myspace page…but you will appreciate the true essence of this work only by listening to the whole album because I underline that the production gives the definitive preciousness.
Music is art…this is pure art!!!
