It has Italian roots this project called “Raza De Odio”: thanks to the will of value artists such as Peso and John from Necrodeath on drums and bass (a powerful and driving rhythm) and the former Sadist Zanna on vocals.
La
Nueva Alarma, an album sponsored by the Italian Scarlet, is a work with
an incredibly involving and energetic sound that is reflected in the
very innovative contributions from the guitarists Paco and Lopez. This
sound has an unavoidable recall of Sepultura’s “Roots” or, even
more, to the more versatile and modern sound of Soulfly and Brujeria (in
fact proposing a cover of their anthem “Matando Gueros”).
This
album sounds like Ill
Niño and the already mentioned Soulfly, proposing a
crossover at times melancholic, but with that sangre
caliente giving to the musical blend an intoxicating flavour
hypnotizig with the modulated yet important use of percussions in full
latin style. The main element in this their “La Nueva Alarma” is the
rhythm itself: the winning card of other famous bands, consacrated to
the wider audience! Enough nu-metal: the Raza are
projected towards a generous and driving metal-core marked by a very
beautiful cover of S.O.D., where tempo changes, among sound slips and
mid tempo, are masters, managing to mark even more the polyhedral
abilities of this band that I’m sure will still have more to show us!

Ha radici italiane questo progetto “Raza De Odio”: grazie alla volontà di artisti di valore quali Peso e John dei Necrodeath rispettivamente alla batteria ed al basso (una ritmica potente e trascinante) e l'ex Sadist Zanna alla voce.
La
Nueva Alarma, album patrocinato dalla nostrana Scarlet, è un lavoro dal
sound incredibilmente trascinante e grintoso che si rispecchia nei
contributi assai innovativi dei chitarristi Paco e Lopez.
Il sound ci riporta inevitabilmente a richiami dei Sepultura di
“Roots” o, ancor di più, al sound più versatile e moderno dei
Soulfly e dei Brujeria (proponendo oltretutto una cover del loro inno
“Matando Gueros”.
Inevitabili i richiami a band del genere come Ill Niño ed i già citati Soulfly, proponendo un crossover a tratti malinconico, ma con quel sangue caliente che dona alla mistura musicale un gusto inebriante che riesce ad ipnotizzare con il modulato, ma importante, utilizzo di percussioni in pieno latino’stile.
L’elemento preponderante in questo loro “La Nueva Alarma” è proprio la ritmica: carta vincente di altre già blasonate band, consacrate ad un pubblico molto più vasto!
Basta nu-metal: i Raza si proiettano su un metal-core generoso e portante che viene demarcato da una cover bellissima dei S.O.D., dove le variazioni di tempo, tra scivolate sonore e mid tempo, la fanno da padrone, risucendo a marcare ancor più la capacità poliedrica di questa band che sono certa ha ancora molto da farci scoprire di se!
