Your mind immersed

into their world.

Involved into a charming and obscure atmosphere…this is the new work of the  melancholic Finland rock band….

This album is pure example of Dark Rock mixed to Melancholic Rock…

Matti R. & C. create a pure musical spell in which every song seems the description of a sad travel in the deep of your melancholic side… It seems like a cloudy path  in which you find the essence of your deep being, the answers to our questions into the sadness of these notes that involves your mind that seems to be immersed into their world….

Essential instruments create the atmosphere through the simplicity of guitar arpeggios and atmospheric keyboards, a sad piano, a dark rhythmic session  and the great Mika’s voice that represents the romantic side of the band. They seem to have found the perfect groove and every song seems to belong to a fantastic melancholic dark creature called SHAMRAIN.

This album gets pure melancholic dark jewel like : “Raindrops” …a song able to touch your deep feelings through the cold atmosphere created in which Mika’s voice gives a kind of sad romanticism …as he’s able to do in every song.

“Ghost I see” gets an incredible sadness involved into a pure dark melancholic song…I underline the good work made by the band that reminds me of old  dark atmospheres mixed to modern sad visions… although the songs of the band are the essence of melancholic music without the typical modern approach of the most new bands…

I still underline the infinite sadness of “Silent lullaby” that is pure magic …into this refrain….

Lay inert all day
Without desires
Pass out mesmerized
To the sound of silent lullabies”

I can’t but remind how beautiful is “No one remembers your name” that begins with a sad dreaming piano and becomes a pure romantic dark song involved into a wonderful  melody and  great lyrics …

The old dark atmosphere is still present into the mood of “Goodbyes painted black” in which the sadness of lyrics meets the obscure musical charm…and here I notice a great progr-rock attitude inserted in their style…. but actually in many songs there’s an almost progressive rock proneness that sometimes remind of bands like Porcupine Tree or Mogway .An important plus- value to their music…

If you like to be immersed into your most sad deep feelings, this album is absolutely perfect…

For me…it’s another dark jewel of this great band that got the right attention from Spikefarm Records…
