Sicily!
The
first Vision Divine concert after the new album “Destination Set
To Nowhere” is in Sicily!!!
The
location is Barbara Disco Lab at Catania, a very awesome club
…ideal for an event like this. Sicilian metal fans are eager to
be part of this great event, and the wait pays off. Not only
Vision Divine will play but also Dalia Nera and Metatrone as
openers. The atmosphere is great, metal fans are very polite, and
Vision Divine are very kind and available to take a lot
of photos before their exhibition.
The
concert starts with Dalia Nera`s performance…A sort of
alternative modern metal influenced by grunge but also classic
style; The show doesn’t disappoint the expectation but it seems
that people seems to wait the next band, one of the most known
Sicilian band!!!
Metatrone
are the symbol of Christian metal in Italy!!! They come from
Catania and the characteristic of the band is their lyrics
dedicated to God. The keyboard player is a priest and it sounds
incredible how he sings growl parts!!!A very stunning band with
powerful and melodic songs in which the vocalist Jo
Lombardo has
nothing to envy to Andre Matos or Michael
Kiske!!!
The
Italian lyrics makes people involved into this show…and under
the stage there’s a real acclamation for this band!!! A song
like ”Passione” could represent a pure metal icon; it mixes
Crematory &
Stratovarious with Dream
Theater influences…is it for real!?Yes…For sure!!! I have
really appreciated songs like “Padre” , “Uomo”, “Cuore
di donna” in which you can remind of the best Stratovariuos, but
in general all the songs are very cool and the band represents the
pure representation anti black metal, when they were playing …a
very wave of Christianity was in the air . A very big surprise for
me to know them!!!FOR ME, They’re the real surprise of this
event!!!
15 minutes and the curtain is dropped ..the wait is not too long,
Vision Divine are just there!!!
It’s
a very involving show in which Fabio Lione gets immediately in
tune with all fans!!!
The new songs are the protagonist of the songs list but not
only…old success are also played in a very amazing way…and
people are amazed when they play also “Wasted Years ”Iron
maiden cover at the end of their exhibition! When the show ends
…people remains to get still photos, buying gadgets, and talking
with the bands…
