The evolution of this band can't be reported only in this
review.....Zeromancer are the example of a new metal era! One of the
best band I've listened to in these latest years...
In this new album Zeromancer have been able to create different
kind of songs, in which they show all their ability, not only
concerning the melodies and the structure'song but also about the
proper care in order to create a personal sound that
in this album it has became an unmistakable mark!!!!
They could be appreciated both from old Duran Duran fans, and
from all those who appreciate introspective music into modern
metal!!!!! There's nothing to say about the production and the arrangements
...They're at the top!
"Teenage Recoil" is the first electro-metal song
that show all their passion for the synth-metal!!!!!!!!!The voice is
perfect, and the refrain is full of intensity ...I notice the proper
care for the rhytmics parts!!!!It's a such perfect song!
"Hollywood" is another heart-attack song!!!!!The
melody of this song is fantastic!!!!Alex sings in a pefect way, and I
notice a powerful guitar riff !!!!!
The third song is "Famous last Words"...and it's
very strange this song for being a Zeromancer song!The begin of this
song seems a mixture between "With or without you" ...(famous
U2 song) and "Butterfly on a wheel" (by THE MISSION), a
dreaming atmosphere..that could be perfect for a romantic evening with
your partner!!!The refrain shows the sweetness of this band.....and I
have to say that Alex is a very good singer!!!He shows a perfect
intonation and he takes care about the right interpretation with
a voice full of intensity and passion!!!
"Erotic Saints" is an another good song that
shows the maturity of the band! Another song very far from
synth-metal.....It makes me dream in a romantic and deep
atmosphere!!!Concerning guitar sound , this song reminds me of
Smashing Pumpkins...(do you remember them?????). I notice the proper
care concerning the arrangements...They use a lot of keyboards effects
in order to give more emphasis......
"Idiot music" is a typical Zeromancer song!!!!Another
fantastic guitar riff into a fantastic refrain.....another perfect example
of nu-emotional-metal!!!!!!The guitar sound is perfect!
"Stop the Noise" is another powerful synth-metal
song ...but its refrain is nearer to nu-metal bands...a good
song but comparing it with the others...it doesn' get the same charme!
"Feed you with a Kiss"is the next song.....!!!!!Dark,
emotional, alternative....metal..synth-pop!!!!!May you mix all these
kind of music together????Zeromancer have been able to create another
masterpiece .....there are no words to describe this perfect song!
"Lamp Halo" is a deep song in which I notice the
sadness of the refrain that is sung with passion and intensity!
"Mosquito Coil" begins with a very particular
dramatic intro ...in this song I notice that in the strophe, the
singer is very "near" to Simon LeBon!!!!!The song is another
good composition ....another successful refrain!!!
"Blood music" closes this album with a typical
Zeromancer melody that seems nearer to the old compositions!
