Evolution of modern Death Metal.

MKM is able to get in their team a great Italian band…..KENOS; this band realizes an album that is a perfect example of modern techno death metal.

The sound is characterized by a very evolved approach in which the band is able to mix electronic and metal with an amazing confidence. Supported by a good production, the result is optimal even if I think that the band can  improve the compositive approach that sometimes is not up to the task.
The atmospheres created by the use of electronic gives a particular and enriched touch to the music that sometimes goes nearer to black metal atmospheres…

The opener “Room Sexteen” is a great example of extreme future metal…a very great begin…
The Italian band is able to mix also progressive parts that give interest  to the compositions, and I underline tracks like “2012 Omega Assimilation” that is a very good track full of power and originality in which Death metal joins with progressive and symphonic-black metal!!!

The presence of songs like “ I Remember” and “Erocktika” gives variety to the album with a great sense of musical taste…Cadenced and melodic songs in which the brutality of the band gives room to the melody…
Brutality….technique, atmospheres and the search of originality are the elements of this album, characterized by a good production and a very good work concerning arrangements…and the work made by the band is appreciable both for what concerns the search of different musical solutions into the brutality of a style that hardly ever gives space to musical contaminations but also for the work made by mixer…Great care for all arrangements, and it was not so easy considering that the structures of songs are essentially based and inspired to death metal.

The last song “Eyes of the hurricane part. 2” is an acoustic suite that will be pure relax after the impetuous brutality of the most songs of the album….

Surely …they can still improve, but this album is a good example of the evolution of modern death metal…..
