Deicide
Floridian death metallers DEICIDE
are still in the middle of recording their new album, "The Stench
of Redemption", at Morrisound studios in Tampa, Florida for a
June 6 release via Earache Records.
Commented drummer Steve Asheim: "We're tracking a few more
leads and Glen [Benton] has just started on his vocal
tracks. But things are coming out really great."
One particular moment stood out for the band when guitarist Ralph
Santolla finished up recording a lead. "Ralph came out and
he said, 'I think that's got to be the best lead I've ever played,' at
which point Jim [Morris, producer] said, 'You know, I think
that's the best lead I've ever recorded," Steve said. Coming
from someone like Jim Morris who's worked with so many of the metal
greats that is a seriously powerful statement.
Benton has entered the studio and has been tracking his vocals over
the last few days. Things are going very well and the vocals sound great,
or as Steve Asheim put it, they sound "sinister as fuck."
Lyrics for "The Stench of Redemption" remain on the
darker side of things, nothing out of the ordinary for Satan's favorite
band. Benton stated that one track, titled "Desecration",
deals with grave desecration and is an immediate response to the recent
controversy in France. The band is now logging between 10-16 hour days on
this project.

Abigail Williams
Arizona-based extreme metal band ABIGAIL
WILLIAMS have signed a three-album deal with Candlelight Records.
According to a press release, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS "take their
influences from the best of the best from the old and the new and
blend it into a unique and multifaceted hybrid. They have the groove
and melody of the Gothenburg-style death metal, the face smashing
breakdowns of the hardcore scene topped with the bombastic and epic
approach favoured by the frostbitten black metal hordes. Starting only
in the summer of 2005, a home recorded demo was put together to
showcase the songs Ken Sorceron [vocals, guitar] had written
over the years and featured Ashley Jurgemeyer on piano/keys. Connor
Woods laid down the vocals and before long the demo, dubbed 'Gallow
Hill', was born. These songs were distributed on the Internet via
band pages set up on MySpace and PureVolume and, purely by word of
mouth, resulted in an astonishing quarter of a million plays in just
six months! Inspired by the response to his music, Ken put a
full line up together featuring some ex-members of the Metal Blade
act VEHEMENCE and started to play local shows with a view to
branching out further. Unfortunately this line-up didn't work out and
soon Ken was back working solely with Ashley. Local
guitarist Brad Riffs was found and a new demo song, entitled 'Watchtower',
was recorded with Ken now also taking up the vocal role.
Throughout the line-up changes and everything else, Candlelight
Records were waiting in the wings and watching developments with
bated breath. Once the new stable line-up was put into place, a
multi-album, worldwide deal was signed."
ABIGAIL WILLIAMS are currently in pre-production for an as-yet
untitled full length. It's scheduled to be recorded in May 2006 with
the legendary James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY)
at his new Florida-based production facility. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS
look forward to hitting the road with a vengeance in the later part of
2006, including a prestigious slot on one of the EMPEROR
reunion shows and a U.K. tour with friends SUICIDE SILENCE.

KINGCROW su LUCRETIA RECORDS INTERNATIONAL
Cari amici,

"TIMETROPIA" è un album
progressive metal ricercato e dal flavour "novantiano", fatto di
composizioni elaborate, di brani fluidi in continua evoluzione, melodie
scolpite da linee vocali interpretate con passione e teatralità, un concept
cangiante e visionario, influenzato nel soggetto dal registra David Lynch,
nel personalissimo stile Kingcrow, che rievoca i fasti dell'art/pomp prog di
band come Styx e Rush, e le raffinate magniloquenze di Kansas,
Queen, Queensryche e Savatage!
La band sta ultimando negli "Under
l'acclamato "Insider",
del 2004. All'indirizzo http://www.kingcrow.it/timetropia/copertina03.jpg

Satyricon
A brand new track from Norwegian black
metallers SATYRICON, entitled "K.I.N.G", has been
made available for download at this
location. The song comes off the group's upcoming album, "Now,
Diabolical", due in Europe on April 24 (via Sony/BMG
in Norway and Roadrunner Records in the rest of the continent) and
the U.S. on June 13 via Century Media Records.
"Now, Diabolical" was mixed in Vancouver, Canada with Mike
Fraser (METALLICA, AC/DC) and is described by SATYRICON
mainman Satyr as "a deeper dive in the abyss than ever before.
[The album] is a catchy and aggressive record with a pitch-black heart. I
think this is the kind of record that we and our supporters in America
need to help steer the direction that no one has really set yet 'over
there.' America has produced some of the greatest metal bands of all time,
yet black metal has very much been a European phenomena until now. It is
gradually tightening its grip on the American metal scene and we want to
be a part of it just like we were when it started in Europe."

02. K.I.N.G
03. The Pentagram Burns

Misery Index
MISERY
INDEX
has set Discordia
as the title of their forthcoming Relapse Records debut.
Discordia
is scheduled for a May 22nd release and will feature ten new tracks from the
Baltimore-based quartet. The track listing is "Unmarked Graves",
"Conquistadores", "Outsourcing Jehovah", "Breathing
Pestilence", "Meet Reality", "Sensory Deprivation",
"The Meduse Stare", "Dystopian Nightmares", "Discordia"
and "Pandemican". The LP and Japanese CD pressings of Discordia
will include as a bonus track a cover of NASUM’s “Digging In”.
The band's energetic and articulate music has been pushing the boundaries of
metal, hardcore and punk since the its’ spring 2001 inception, and in what
has become MISERY INDEX's
calling card, Discordia
promises to deliver lyrics as weighty and confrontational as their music is
deadly.
Bassist/vocalist Jason Netherton (the quartet is rounded out by drummer Adam
Jarvis and guitarists John 'Sparky' Voyles and Mark Kloeppel) explains Discordia's
general lyrical approach; "The central theme of Discordia revolves
around a critical approach to everyday life in our 'modern' world. The
lyrics are critical but at the same time hopeful. We hope that in looking at
the world as it REALLY is, without painting any happy face on that which
aches and suffers for change, we can sing these songs in confidence of
something that matters and of something that screams for life in a mediated
framework that consistently presents death as "the way of life" in
the world outside the comfortable borders of the West, as well as in our own
nation."
MISERY INDEX has previously
released the critically-acclaimed full-length Retaliate
via Nuclear Blast as well as several independent releases through their own
Anarchos record imprint.

Slayer
The four original members of SLAYER
— Tom Araya/bass, vocals, Kerry King/guitars, Jeff
Hanneman/guitars, and Dave Lombardo/drums — the pioneers and
undisputed kings of extreme speed/thrash metal, have entered a Los
Angeles-area studio to record what will be their first new studio album
since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss". And if that's not
enough, uber-producer Rick Rubin, who helped solidify the
much-emulated SLAYER sound beginning with their genre-defining 1986
classic "Reign In Blood", has taken the helm as executive
producer of the project. The original team is back in place.
Working closely with Rubin will be Josh Abraham (KORN, VELVET
REVOLVER, ATREYU) who will produce the album. "We're real
happy to have Josh on the team," said SLAYER's Jeff
Hanneman. "He's a very creative and intuitive guy, he knows music,
and he really gets who SLAYER is and what we're doing." The
as-yet-untitled album will be released on SLAYER's longtime label, Rubin's
American Recordings/Warner Bros. Records, and is expected out
this fall.
"Dave's been back with us, playing live, for a couple of years
now, and we're all looking forward to recording together again," said
the band's Tom Araya. Kerry King added, "There really is
no one like Dave — he doesn't have to work at what he does, he just
walks in, picks up his sticks and goes."
Said Lombardo, "It feels really good being back with the same
guys I started out with. The chemistry is definitely there, that's the
exciting part of it, to capture that chemistry again. And that's what is
happening."
Jeff, Tom and Kerry have been writing songs for this
new album since they wrapped their last North American tour in September
2004. "This is probably the most prepared we've been to record an album
since the '80s," King added. "We've been writing and
cutting demos for months." While these may change, working titles for
some of the songs that will be recorded include "Catalyst",
"Cult", "Supremist", and "Consfearacy".
"I like to write songs that have different meanings for different
people," said King, "where everyone can say, 'I know what
he means,' but still get their own sense of what the song is about."
But wait, this just gets better. On 6.6.06 in San Diego, CA, SLAYER
will kick off a seven-week summer trek, "The Unholy Alliance Tour
Preaching to the Perverted", that boasts what has got to be the
genre's coolest line-up of the summer — LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON
and CHILDREN OF BODOM (who will rotate the second and third slots),
and THINE EYES BLEED who will open the shows.
Not only is the line-up terrific, but ticket prices will not exceed $39.00,
giving fans a great value for their dollar. Tour dates and all other details
will be announced shortly. Confirmed dates are below.
According to SLAYER's longtime manager Rick Sales, "We
want to make 'The Unholy Alliance' tour an annual global event, so we
decided to be smart about the design from the beginning. We chose to book
most of the tour¹s shows at indoor venues, as that allows the bands and the
fans amenities like air conditioning and indoor bathrooms, as well as the
very best stage lighting, production, and sound and less expensive
concession prices. The few shows that will be played outside will be played
at night in permanent facilities with our lighting, production, and so on.
Everyone wins."
With more dates to be added, the confirmed dates for "The Unholy
Alliance Tour Preaching to the Perverted" are as follows:
Jun. 06 - Sports Arena - San Diego, CA
Jun. 07 - The Orleans - Las Vegas, NV
Jun. 12 - Pop's Outside - St. Louis, MO
Jun. 13 - Aragon Ballroom - Chicago, IL

Wolverine
Sweden's WOLVERINE have posted the
following message on their official web site:
"We can at last announce that WOLVERINE has signed with Candlelight
Records. We've been in touch with various labels and as it turned out Candlelight
came up with the best offer by far.
"The past 6 months have been really hard for the band and with the
split from Earache topping it all off it's extremely nice to have
found a new 'home.'
"There is no release date set for 'Still' yet but we'll
announce it really soon. It's about time the album sees the light of day
because we all promise you that some of our best songs are on that album.
We definitely want to share them with our fans as soon as humanly
possible."
As previously reported, "Still" was recorded in part at Spacelab

Malevolent Creation
Long-running Florida death metal warriors MALEVOLENT
CREATION are currently in pre-production for their tenth studio album, "Doomsday
X", due this fall via Nuclear Blast Records. The band are
currently home writing and demoing material for the new CD, to be recorded
in May and mixed in June. Recordings will take place at Mercury
recording studios in Pompano Beach, FL with producer/engineer Gus Rios,
with the mixing set to take place at Antfarm studis on Aaarhus,
Denmark with producer Tue Madsen. "This will mark the first time
in the band's career that an overseas producer has been brought in for
mixing, but Tue's track record speaks for itself and we feel that we
will be in good hands with Tue mixing the new album," the group
write in a press release. "We need to have a massive production for
this 10th record because this recording means a lot to us and we plan on
touring for the next two years in support of it. All the bandmembers are
contributing to the writing of this new album, so there will be a lot of
different influences on this record. The music will be extremely heavy and
insanely fast."
MALEVOLENT CREATION's current lineup includes original bandmembers Brett
Hoffman on vocals, Jason Blachowicz on bass, Jon Rubin on
guitar, Phil Fasciana on guitar and drumming powerhouse Tony
Laureano (NILE, DIMMU BORGIR) on drums. Laureano
has toured several times in the past with MALEVOLENT CREATION but now
will make his debut studio recording with the band which is sure to be
interesting. This lineup will also do all upcoming tours in support of "Doomsday
X", which is expected to be released in September, followed by a
massive European trek with DISGORGE and SKINLESS in support.
Other touring options are being looked at as well. There is talk about a
U.S. tour with BOLT THROWER in July-August, but nothing is confirmed
yet.

I’ve always wanted to push the band forward but I will unfortunately
not be able to ensure my availability from now on.
I would like to thank all the people who support Zuul Fx, fans, friends,

Darkthrone
The End Records
(in cooperation with Moonfog) has just re-released three of DARKTHRONE's
most classic and grimmest offerings to the metal masses in North America: "Panzerfaust"
(1995), "Total Death" (1996) and "Goatlord"
(1996).
When DARKTHRONE formed in the late '80s, Norway's metal scene was
nothing but a small flicker of flame. That flame eventually changed to a
fiery torch as the band transformed their early death metal sound into a
raw, inhuman swirl of mayhem and chaos aided by satanic imagery, corpse
paint and dark shadows.
Heavily influenced by the work of cult act CELTIC FROST years
earlier, DARKTHRONE's black metal charge allowed them to storm the
'90s with black their metal peers (MAYHEM, SATYRICON, ENSLAVED)
following close behind. Along the way they gathered legions of fans
worldwide and left a path of destruction still felt today. Their influential
work cannot be ignored.
DARKTHRONE's latest EP, "Too Old, Too Cold",
recently debuted at No. 11 on the Norwegian national chart. The EP features
a cover version of SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES' "Love In A
Void" and the original "High On Cold War",
featuring Grutle Kjellson from ENSLAVED on guest vocals.
DARKTHRONE will release their new album, "The Cult Is
Alive" (view cover here)
on February 27 via Peaceville. The album will be available on CD,
special-edition CD featuring the band's first-ever promo video (for "Too
Old, Too Cold") and on limited-edition shark grey vinyl.

Voivod
Legendary Canadian experimental metallers
VOIVOD have finished mixing their much-anticipated new album with
producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD's "Nothingface",
TEA PARTY, GWAR) at Multisons studio in Montreal,
Quebec, Canada. Drummer Michael "Away' Langevin has checked
in with the following update:
"We just finished the mixing of the album. Glen, Jason
[Newsted, bass], Snake [Denis Belanger, vocals] and I
worked some crazy shifts to make sure that all the parts blend properly.
Of course, we gave the guitar a particular attention. We really didn't
want Piggy to be low in the mix. Glen is back in New York
City and he's taking the album to Howie Weinberg for mastering
today. Now I have to finish the art!"
The follow-up to 2003's "Voivod" is the first album in
the band's 20-plus-year career that will not feature founding guitarist Denis
"Piggy" D'Amour working alongside his bandmembers in the
studio. D'Amour died August 26, 2005 in a Montreal hospital from
complications of advanced colon cancer.
In order to record the album, Belanger, drummer Michael
"Away" Langevin and bassist Jason "Jasonic"
Newsted are utilizing all of the guitar parts that Piggy had
recorded for the record on his laptop with ProTools before his death.
VOIVOD's as-yet-untitled new album should surface sometime later
this year on The End Records in North America.

"Death awaits" will not be for sale (only as a promo for labels),
but one of the tracks will be used for an upcoming split 7" with fellow
Trondheim deathmetallers BLOODTHORN. The other two will be
re-recorded for the follow-up to "Chtonian Lifecode", the 2004

"Death awaits" tracklist:
1. Scavenger of a Dead World
2. Contagion (The Disease)
3. Dobermanifesto
CHTON has also launched a brand new website! After over
29.000 hits, the old site was all worn out, and it was definately time to
put it to rest. The band comments that "We'll update the news here more
often now, and we'll slowly fill out some blanks we haven't done yet (like
more pictures, more info on previous gigs, more interviews etc.)! We've got
some new downloads for y'all to check out, and we're also working on another
clip of drunken disorder and Death Metal dicipline from the recording of the
Death Awaits promo."
Two new video downloads is available:
- Unholy Communion (MPG VIDEO): http://www.chton.com/downloads/video/chton_unholy_communion.mpg
Music taken from "Chtonian Lifecode". The video is edited from
footage shot when CHTON opened for Mayhem at Studentersamfundet in Trondheim

Convergence 12 will be held in New Orleans, April 13-16, 2006. Convergence 5 also took place there, and was one of the most memorable. Although a different committee this time, they're thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to organize what they say will be an event to remember.

Siebenbürgen
Swedish melodic black metallers SIEBENBÜRGEN
have split up. The group's official statement
on the matter reads as follows:
"I am hereby sad to inform you all that SIEBENBÜRGEN is no
more.
"On the 1st of February 2006 we had a band meeting and came to the
conclusion that we have to bury SIEBENBÜRGEN. After 12 years, we
sadly don't have the energy and inspiration to take the band any further and
it would be wrong to us and to our fans to continue without the passion that
SIEBENBÜRGEN deserve.
"During these years, we have struggled and bled to keep SIEBENBÜRGEN
alive and well, we have published five albums that we are very proud of we
got to see the world and we met a lot of great people in the process, and
our fans fucking rule!
But now it is over and we will lay SIEBENBÜRGEN to rest. It has been
a great experience that we would not trade for anything in the world.
"We would like to thank Ed and Karen of No Cross
Management, Sabine at IDB booking, Eva and the
staff at Napalm Records and all the bands we have toured with during
the years, and last but not least, all of our devoted fans that believed in
us and kept us going through all this time.
"Thanks for everything and may the gods of metal be with you!"
|
Kataklysm
Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM
have abandoned their plans of shooting their video for the song
"Crippled & Broken" in Amsterdam this April, and will instead
film the clip next week in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with Maurice Swinkel of
Lowlife Media. "Although some of the shots and story plot have already
been filmed over last weekend in remote parts of Holland, the band will be
filmed in Montreal February 16-19," the group write in a press release.
"The song 'Crippled & Broken', the band's first video from the new
album, 'In the Arms of Devastation', deals with a war veteran dealing with
post-war syndrome. Expect a 'heavy' video exploring the mind of a broken
down soldier. The video should be ready for submission before the band's
live assault [in early April] beggins."

Atheist
Seminal technical
metal pioneers ATHEIST have been confirmed for
the Bloodstock Open Air festival, set to
take place July 14-15 at the Catton Hall in Walton On Trent, Derbyshire,
U.K. The festival billing is shaping up as follows:
ASHTAR
ATHEIST
BAL-SAGOTH
ENSIFERUM
NOCTURNAL RITES
PYRAMAZE
RAUNCHY
SEASONS END
TURISAS
ATHEIST guitarist/vocalist Kelly Shaefer has reassembled what
is widely considered the band's classic recording lineup (Shaefer,
guitarist Rand Burkey, bassist Tony Choy, and drummer Steven
Flynn) for several exclusive festival performances, including Italy's Evolution
Festival and Germany's Wacken Open Air.
ATHEIST has recently had its wildly-influential catalog (1988's "Piece
of Time", 1993's "Elements", and the
1991's legendary "Unquestionable
Presence") reissued internationally via Relapse Records.
|
Disturbed
The official DISTURBED message
board has been shut down by the administrators, allegedly because the
group's frontman, David Draiman, grew increasingly tired of the
persistent criticism levelled at him over his seemingly contradictory
statements regarding the band's possible appearance at this year's Ozzfest.
|
Enslaved
Norwegian extreme metallers ENSLAVED
are putting the finishing touches on their new album, "Ruun",
tentatively due on May 8 via Tabu. "The final mixes are being
made at this very moment in Propeller Studio in Oslo," the group
write on their web site. "The band produces the album themselves, with Mike
Hartung as leader of the pack. Mastering will take place in Sweden
immedeatly after the mix is finished. Later in February the band will make
not one, but two videos from 'Ruun'."

Absence Of Charisma - 2. Rub'al-Khali

celebrazione nell'album "the Lesson Betrayed", secondo album
“the Lesson Betrayed”.

Disturbed
DISTURBED frontman David
Draiman has revealed that the band have been confirmed to appear on
this summer's Ozzfest heavy metal festival tour.
Speaking to Jolene of Seattle's 99.9 KISW on January 7, Draiman
said of the band's upcoming touring plans, "It looks like at this
point that we are confirmed for Ozzfest this summer, so that should
be a good thing. It's looking like that's gonna happen, so…"
DISTURBED's last appearance on Ozzfest was in 2003, when
they shared the main stage with OZZY OSBOURNE, KORN, MARILYN
MANSON and CHEVELLE.
In addition to DISTURBED, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's booking
agent recently told Billboard magazine that Zakk Wylde and
Co. have also been confirmed for this summer's trek. Additional offers to
play the tour have been extended to AVENGED SEVENFOLD and ATREYU,
according to recently published interviews with both artists.

Napalm Death
Birmingham, England's fathers of grindcore NAPALM
DEATH will be embarking on North America's "The Enemy of God
II" tour in late February with German thrashers KREATOR.
Vocalist Barney Greenway had this to say about the upcoming trek:
"Looks like we're coming back to North America to make a load of
noise again. 'The Code Is Red…' was such a well-received album
and we're disappointed that this is only the first time that we're getting
to a lot of places, but we try our best, you know.
"What are the shows going to be like? Well, we will totally go for
it, as ever, and hopefully you'll all enjoy. It'll be chaotic, spasmodic
and hopefully a beautiful thing. There should be quite a bit of 'The
Code…' stuff in there as well. There's also the small matter of the
follow-up to 'The Code…', which we are each working on in our own
little corners of the world. I have a few songs ready to go lyrically but
nothing concrete to share with you right at this moment, unfortunately.
"I've been thinking about the general theme of the album a lot and
what I'd like to project in this age of being dragged down paths of
religious oppression is the spirit of free-thinking. I mean, believe what
you want to believe if it makes you happy, but I still don't believe that
mass governance via religious theories is wise, especially when the world
is so fragile. The whole idea, just for example, of stickering school
textbooks that try to explain the scientifically proven evolution of
mankind with stickers that say 'This is not necessarily the truth' is
entirely counter-productive.
"Anyway… we hope to hit the studio mid-May for a late-year release.
See you all soon Stateside. Peace, love, equality."

Voivod
Legendary Canadian experimental metallers VOIVOD
are putting the finishing touches on their much-anticipated new album with
producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD's "Nothingface",
TEA PARTY, GWAR) at Multisons studio in Montreal,
Quebec, Canada. Frontman Denis "Snake" Belanger has
checked in with the following update:
"Glen gave us a mix down of all the songs for us to listen to.
Guess what? I was actually listening to the new VOIVOD in my car
while I was driving home tonight. What a feeling! I was driving fast. It
reminds me of when Piggy and I were driving back home after the 'Angel
Rat' mixing sessions, listening to the whole thing. All excited
banging our heads on the dashboard. I can tell you this... Piggy
was riding with me tonight. Comfortably sitting next to me...with a big
fat joint! Also we did an interview with Sang-Frais tonight. Sang-Frais
is Quebec's No.1 metal magazine. Check out the next issue. The guys from Sans-Frais
were the first test-listeners of this new album. They had a big smile on
their faces."

Bolt Thrower /Those still loyal tour
BOLT THROWER were forced to
cancel their previously announced January 18 gig in Prato, Italy due to
the club's "dangerous electricity problem." An official
statement on the matter from the group's bassist, Jo Bench, reads
as follows:
"Due to serious problems with the electricity supply in the venue BOLT
THROWER, [along with tourmates] MALEVOLENT CREATION, NIGHTRAGE
and NECROPHAGIST had to cancel the show in Prato, Italy. The club's
electricity supply was unsafe with bad/no earth and after one of the crew
members was electrocuted for the fourth time, the bands made the decision
to pull the show. All bands apologise to all the fans who had travelled to
see the show, but they are not prepared to put themselves in a
life-threatening situation. Hopefully the Anomalia Club will take notice
of their dangerous electricity problem and make sure there will be no
accidents in the future."
BOLT THROWER are touring in support of their new CD, "Those
Once Loyal", which entered the German Media Control chart at
position No. 76 — the group's highest-charting release in Germany so
far. The follow-up to 2001's "Honour, Valour, Pride" was
recorded at Andy Faulkner's Sable Rose studios and is the
band's first album since the return of original vocalist Karl Willetts
as a full-time member.

Ihsahn
Candlelight Records has
revealed the full track listing for the solo debut from Ihsahn (EMPEROR).
"The Adversary" is in its final stages of recording at Symphonique
Studios in Norway with the final mix planned for early 2006. A video
is planned for the song "Invocation", though specific
details as to director and concept are still in development.
"The music is a continuation of my work within the metal genre,"
said Ihsahn in a previous statement. "It incorporates
influential elements from all periods/stages of my background since I
first picked up the guitar 20 years ago. Powerful, epic, extreme and
straight from the heart."
All music and lyrics for "The Adversary" have been
written and performed by Ihsahn with exception of drums, performed
by Asgeir Mickelson (BORKNAGAR, SPIRAL ARCHITECT).
"He has been the perfect drummer for this album," noted Ihsahn.
"He has really brought to live the patterns I programmed in
pre-production.
Ihsahn is most noted as vocalist/guitarist of EMPEROR.
Forming in 1991, EMPEROR recordings have sold hundreds of thousands
worldwide. Their impact on black/extreme metal ranks them as one of the
genre's most influential.
Candlelight Records recently confirmed four farewell American shows
for EMPEROR which will be Ihsahn's first visit to the U.S. since EMPEROR's
only US tour in support of their third album, "IX
Equilibrium". The recent announcements followed confirmations of
European shows that the band will also perform in 2006.
Tracking for "The Adversary" is as follows:
01. Invocation
02. Called by the Fire
03. Citizen
04. Homecoming
05. Astera ton Proinon
06. Panem et Circenses
07. And He Shall Walk in Empty Places
08. Will You Will Love Me Now?
09. The Pain is Still Mine
"The Adversary" will be released cooperatively by Mnemosyne
Productions and Candlelight Records worldwide. Owned/operated
by partners Ihsahn and Ihriel since 2003, Mnemosyne
Productions was established as an outlet for duo's musical
collaborations as well a place for new talent and innovative artists.

Deicide
A demo version of a new DEICIDE track has been
posted online at this
location. The song will be included on the band's upcoming album, "The
Stench of Redemption", tentatively due in May via Earache
Records. A full European tour is currently being booked to follow the
release.
"The Stench of Redemption" will be the first DEICIDE
album to feature new guitarists Jack Owen (formerly of CANNIBAL
CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-DEATH, ICED EARTH),
who have been touring with the band since the departure of the Hoffman
brothers in 2005.
In total, 10 instrumental songs have been demoed and Glen Benton is
currently locked away working on suitably sick vocals/lyrical themes to
rival the brutality of the compositions.
"The Stench of Redemption" will be produced by Jim
Morris and the band will be entering Morrisound studios in the
next few weeks to commit it to tape.

Seduced by Suicide
Seduced by Suicide releases Gothic Dream
- Seduced by Suicide,
the gothic rock formed by Earth (Blood Tears,

Dream, on January 14th at Theatro dos VampiroS, a party organized
by the gothic portal The MaoZoleuM (www.themaozoleum.com).
Besides of the new songs of Seduced by Suicide, the
cd comes with a multimedia bonus, containing wallpapers, lyrics and
songs from the bands Blood Tears
and Mystic Shadows, which features Earth' vocals, in
a total of 10 songs, which are:
01. My Sweetest Choice
02. The Death of My Life
03. Our Gothic Dream
04. Hurt me Plenty
05. Just Another Thrill
- Sea of Sadness (Blood Tears)
- Jail of Solitude (Blood Tears)
- Ode to the Braves (Mystic Shadows)
- Pagan Memories (Mystic Shadows)
- Tears of an Ancient Brave (Mystic Shadows)
Meanwhile the band is working in the
promotion of the album, negotiating an European release of Gothic
Dream besides of promotional events. Because of the great response
of the album, the band was choosed as "Band of the Month" by
the virtual magazine Dark Rock (www.darkrock.co.nr).
Even with this recent release, Earth is already working in the
compositions.
"Seduced by Suicide is a band
which makes a perfect remake of gothic rock, renewing it, but without
losing its essence. It's a modern sound, but traditional at the same time.
Catchy songs, harmonious melodies and an extreme sentimentality. It's good
to know there in Brazil there are non-reactionary bands, but innovative
ones. Seduced by Suicide is certainly one of them."

Carnival In Coal
Due to the split between Elitist Records and Earache,
Carnival In Coal's
contract with the British label has been deleted. The French duet just inked
a contract with French independant label Equilibre Music (Crack Ov Dawn,
Zuul FX, Lycosia, MXD).
"People at Equilibre are more motivated by working with us than any
people at Earache would have ever been now that Lee Barrett's gone"
says singer Arno STROBL. "I'm glad we made it with Earache for the
thrill of it, that's all. They didn't give a shit about neither CinC nor any
other Elitist band except Ephel Duath and Biomechanical which they kept
under contract. I wish all our former label mates to find a new deal with a
label that will care about them. We learnt we weren't part of the label
anymore through their website. I noticed our name was in the "Past
Artist" bill. Nobody had kept us informed. I assume this is what they
call British humour." he adds.
Carnival In Coal will be working this year on a fifth album planned early
2007. "Fear Not CinC" and "French Cancan" will be
reissued through Equilibre
Music as a special digipak this Spring.
In the meantime, the duet announces his first live appearance ever !
They'll be co-headlining the 5 th edition of the Killer Fest (Chaulnes,
France) along with Swedish audio terrorists Entombed on the 15th of April,
2006.
CinC's live line up for the occasion will feature Frédéric Leclercq
(Maladaptive) and El Worm (Wormfood) on guitars and backing vocals,
Timmy Zecevic (Wormfood) on keyboards and Alexis Damien (Wormfood) on drums.
Other dates to be announced soon.

Biomechanical
BIOMECHANICAL
QUATTRO DATE IN ITALIA
Formatisi
metal inglese". "The Empires of the worlds", questo il titolo,
I Biomechanical infatti rappresentano
