Power-prog approach mixed with thrash metal

 

 

 

If we should need a confirm, it's arrived!!! Labyrith are  one of the best power-prog metal band ever! This album is ready to be part of your collection thanks to the very good work made by this band, able to realize good songs full of technique and pathos!

The single "L.Y.A.F.H." is a pure heart-attack song in which Roberto Tiranti shows his capabilities concerning vocal extension and expressiveness! The melody is wonderful! In my opinion   to choose the singles can become a problem cause there are a lot of good songs!!!  The band is able to realize melodic songs into articulated structures full of progressive parts and trash -metal guitar riffs!!!

"Deserter" is a mid-tempo power song in which there's melody and power! The guitars realize trash-metal riffs, but the melody is in the heart of this song!!! The band is able to amaze me with beautiful songs in which rhythmic session can give emphasis to the perfect Roberto's interpretation!!! Try to listen songs like "Dive in open waters" and "Freeman"; Even if the the style can't but be power-prog, the band delivers a personal approach to this style that is inspired by Helloween, Judas Priest but is far from them!

"M3" is another unforgettable song (in my opinion it could be the next single) full of power and passion! What a great song!!!!! Roberto is one of the best singer ever and it's impossible not to dream with a melody like that!!!!!

"Face and pay" gets a melody that could remind of Europe , only the melody!!!! The guitars are nearer to trash metal and keyboards are able to give the magic touch!!!! Andrea is able to use electronic sounds when it needs and  finds the right sound in every song!!!! 

"Malcom grey" is a melancholic power song in which the band show its dark side! It’s not a ballad only a sad power-song that could be appreciated also by all goth-metal fans!

"Nothing new” is pure trash-metal with a power-prog approach!!!!  Another great song!!!!  If you want more...don't be amazed the sweet wildness of "Infidels" that is another involving song that joins Europe , Dokken and Dream theater .

The album is closed by the the articulated and passionated "Meanings". The production is not at the top, but on the whole it's good. Nothing to say about arrangements that re inspired to classic power-prog. This album is a MUST for ever!!!!
