Proud to be Italian…long life to Labyrinth!

One of the best melodic metal band in the world

Labyrinth comes back with the second part of Return Of Heaven Denied after 12 years from the famous Return To Heaven Denied…

Another important come back concerns the presence of Olaf Thorsen!!! The guitarist comes back but the substance doesn’t change…The compositions reflect the artistic vein of Roberto Tiranti, in my opinion one of the best composer in Italy for what concerns the ability to find great melodies; the band always finds good ways to enrich the beauty of the song by an articulate but never boring structure that gives quality to the music.
This is the Labyrinth project in which the great Tiranti shows its incredible voice from low to “impossible” high tones…a very incredible range of extension  that is not the only characteristic of his voice that has improved in these years for what concerns the interpretation that is very amazing.

The album doesn’t disappoint the waiting, and there are good songs, great melodies and powerful moments.
It’s not a masterpiece but the band confirms to get the qualities to be considered one of the best melodic metal band in the world…As I said in the past, Labyrinth is an Italian band, and the approach to melodies is influenced by Italian traditional music…attention…They don’t play pop music…or pop melodies into metal music….but they get inspiration from the passion of Italian music in order to give more intensity to their songs…Power metal?? Why do we have to  consider Labyrinth a power  metal band?? The maturity of this band is evident, they skillfully mix various influences, and the final result is absolutely good.

Classic metal tracks are alternated to mid tempos songs, full of passion, and a ballad is the protagonist of the album with an unmistakable flavor…
There are not bad songs, and if you star your listen from the begin, there’s an alternation of good, very good and agreeable songs….
In my opinion I underline “A chance” in which power metal riffs are mixed to alternated melodic slow parts…
“To Where We Belong” that gets a great refrain that can’t but remind the classic power metal…
The ballad “A Midnight Autumn's Dream” that confirms that Labyrinth is able to create songs with an incredible melodic mood…

“In This Void” is another incredible track that shows great ability to create good compositions full of parts which gives substance to the song.
I still underline the final track “A Painting On The Wall” another great track “made in Italy” a rock song with an amazing mood characterized by a great melody in which Tiranti confirms unmistakable skills to to give a great  interpretation .
Labyrinth keeps the essence of classic metal, introducing new modern supports through effects that give qualities to the songs (in this album are minimal), but the main important thing is that they are mark of Italian classic metal because of the unmistakable approach to the songs that gives originality comparing to the other bands. The production is up to the task…

…Proud to be Italian…long life to Labyrinth!
